Security researchers have discovered nine vulnerabilities in a range of “online” light bulbs made by Osram.
The flaws in the Lightify products could give hackers access to a home wi-fi network, and potentially operate the lights without permission.
A spokesmsn for Osram said a “majority” of the problems would be patched in a software update in August, but four remained unpatched.
Osram’s “Lightify” range feature online light bulbs that can be controlled using a smartphone app.
Guccifer 2.0 won’t be exploiting the vulnerabilities anytime soon.
